Towering Oaks Farm is located in southern Alamance
County, Graham, North Carolina. We are a small, family
owned operation. We had raised sheep in the past, but after
reading up on the Dorper breed, decided that this was the way
to go. This is a hardy breed that shed their wool/hair so that
shearing is not required. They also have excellent weight gain
on pasture alone.
We purchased our first Dorper percent sheep as bottle lambs
in mid-February, 2009. We also acquired a purebred Dorper
ram. This will be the foundation of our Dorper flock. For more
